A California court recently ruled that SE LA had been unfairly discriminated
against by only allowing one winner in the cable franchise competition.
The result seems to be that it will be years and years before any dwellers
there have cable(s).  (The judgment is probably being appealed.  Meanwhile
the City Council is trying to figure out what to do.)
