Baloney! Case in point: Cabbage Patch Dolls - each one is "different" and this makes each little girl feel herself special to have one. Whoa! Notice that this is almost uniquely a Female/Girl Phenomenon/Product. Another example of exploiting individualism in marketing: designer People are STRAINING to be different individuals and will pay big bucks to do so.
