According to the Toronto Star it employs about 200 people and actually produces net revenues on the order of $3,000,000.00 . This is not some sort of privatization that the PCs are so fond of since they say that people will have to use the US patent office. So here we have a government which claims it is trying to reduce the deficit and produce jobs, jobs,jobs... and it is putting two hundred people on UIC and throwing away 3 million in revenues. This doesn't even make good business sense; it seems to me that they ought to be made to take a little heat over this.
