We're able to query servers at berkeley, which is not surprising since they're probably running similar (if not the same) code. We haven't succeeded in querying the server at sri-nic (or usc-isib or usc-isif). Tcp connections are refused (ie, no server listening to port 53), and no packets are received in response to udp queries. Has anyone (particularly using BIND) succeeded querying sri-nic? Any tricks? Any common blunders installing BIND? Is there a better mailing list for these questions? Thanks, Ron Stanonik stanonik@nprdc
