They also have an option to provide an alternate mktemp(3) style filename template, so the tempfile can be relocated. The option is `-y' (real mnemonic, eh?). Preliminary benchmarks show a speedup of 2-3 times. A further speedup in ms(1) jobs should result when pipes are moved onto the memory disk.
