Lines: 29 Here is the Voltage Doubler that I mentioned previously and have only now come around to putting on line. I did not design this circuit it is in the Hayden book 110 IC timer projects by Jules H. Gilder, pg 109. This is a very useful book for some really neat circuits. He also details a 555 based voltage inverter that when coupled with this circuit would probably make a very effective RS-232 interface from a 5V supply. +V ----------+-------+----+---------------------+ | | | V 1N4001 | +-+----+--+ - | | 8 4 | 22uF | 1N4001 0.01 - | 3+-----+----||------+--->|-------+---------o uF - | | \ | | | | / 33K | | | 555 | \ - 22uF | | | / note: 2 & 6 are - + | | 2+-+--+ connected | Vout | | 6+-+ | | - | | 1 | - 0.001 uF | | +---+-----+ - | | | | | GND ---------+---------+----------+--------------------------+--------o --Chuck -- - - - D I S C L A I M E R - - - {ihnp4,fortune}!dual\ All opinions expressed herein are my {qantel,idi}-> !intelca!cem own and not those of my employer, my {ucbvax,hao}!hplabs/ friends, or my avocado plant. :-}
