I've been interested in astronomy for years, and now I finally
have enough $$$ to get a decent telescope.  (I love tax refunds.)

Since I have very little experience with telescopes,
I'm hoping all you astronomy addicts out there can give me
some help in finding the right combination of equipment.

Here are my constraints/requirements:
	- I have somewhere between $1K and $1.5K to spend
	- the stuff must be easily portable
	- I want to get into astrophotography (I have a 35mm Pentax)

And no, I don't want to grind my own mirrors.  Or assemble the scope.

Please mail any suggestions/warnings to me, and I'll eventually post a
summary.
