Don't buy the Crown preamp.  I used to own one, and let me tell you,
when I upgraded to my current preamp (Threshold), it was like pulling
the cotton out of my ears.  If you don't mind a preamp with few
features, try the PS Audio Source.  It is cheaper than the Crown,
and a far better unit.  If you want features, the Tandberg 3008 at
just over $700 is worth the extra money many times over.
