[this line wants to drive Formula One]

I heard an editorial on KTVU (Ch. 2, Oakland) about a bill to be introduced
in the state senate to outlaw enforcement of the 55. The bill's sponsor was
State Senator Jim Ellis of San Diego. Anyone know more about this?

Perhaps this could start a nationwide trend, ala Prop. 13. I'm hoping...
