I just got an unsolicited copy of a new publication called
"IFR Magazine."  The blurb wrapped around the cover said that
subscriptions are free to instrument-rated pilots; others
can subscribe for $24/year.

The first issue had interesting articles.  Here's the table of contents:

I presume that as time passes the editorial content will
decrease and the advertising will increase, but this seems
to be a magazine whose marketing strategy is to try to
keep it interesting enough that enough people will read it
that they can get all the money they need from advertising,
and to try to restrict the audience so avertisers' money
is better spent.  Anyway, the price is right.
