Each place I will be at an Esperanto convention (the one in Budapest is an Esperanto Cybernetics conference). In all these places I will want to do some bicycling (day trips), and after the 10th a friend will join me until the 14th to bike a little in (probably) Austria. Questions: Has anyone ever biked in Hungary? Will they even let me? Can anyone suggest an interesting town in Austria to use as a base of operations for a few days of bike rides (we'll be renting bikes)? I get the feeling that I want to avoid the Salzburg Music Festival (more "society" than music, big crowds, etc). Pleasant, low-traffic, moderate rides suit me the best. Other wild and exotic (non-touristy) suggestions welcomed! -Neal McBurnett, ihnp4!druny!neal
