Not that strange.  When I make scrambled eggs, I always use parmesan
cheese instead of salt..  My mixture is roughly 3 parts egg batter
(for me, 3 eggs and about 3 T. of milk) and 1-2 parts cheese.  Adds
a nice tang, improves the texture, and eliminates the need for salt.
