Oh c'mon! Let's not get back into the old abused argument that if one
person abuses a priviledge, then everyone should lose it. That sounds
like some of the shit we got in high school where if one guy screwed
up everyone got to run another 10 laps..

Besides, this 'lunatic' scarcely seemed like someone with a 'grudge'.

This has been said a hundred times, and I'll say it again. Outlawing
guns is not going to put them out of reach. There are too many. If
you're anti-gun, your battle was lost 30 years ago! I can think of
quite a few ways of obtaining a gun black-market, and I don't
even run in those circles.

P.S. Are you sure that it was an 'automatic' weapon?
If so, then you're barking up the wrong tree. Full auto weapons
have been illegal for a long time. (Sure, everyone can become a class III
dealer).. If so, your lunatic got it illegally, completely out of reach
of any laws.
