Message-ID: <14783@watmath.UUCP> Date: Sat, 1-Jun-85 12:59:37 EDT Article-I.D.: watmath.14783 Posted: Sat Jun 1 12:59:37 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 1-Jun-85 23:18:30 EDT References: <2357@decwrl.UUCP> <908@mnetor.UUCP> Reply-To: cjbiggin@watmath.UUCP (Colin Biggin) Organization: U of Waterloo, Ontario Lines: 70 Keywords: DJ's, asses, Prince, WHAM, sickening... (you get the drift) Summary: How can they do this to me... I have finally had enough... I am sick to death of this non-stop, stupid, repetitive noise that I am constantly hearing on AM radio stations. In my case, the loathsome offender is CHYM - Kitchener. (** Please, no flames telling me to switch stations **). ***** Warning, the following is a synopsis of my pet hatreds concerning (but not exclusively) AM radio. ***** Number l: Where do they get their DJ's. They must all be cast from the same mold. Each has no more (and no less) than a high school education where he/(rarely she) received a 62.7(%) graduating average. Their voices have an irritation factor of about 3 hours (after which you think you are listening to a non-stop record). And, lest I forget (but certainly not forgive), each and everyone of these primates insists that their station plays the best music in the area (in this case south-western ontariariariariariaro). Argh !! Number 2: I buy a lot of albums as they are released and I dread the day when I hear a song played on CHYM. This is because I know that soon I will hate that song. A new song on CHYM is like hearing death bells. You WILL hear that song again, and again, and again, etc...... As a matter of fact, you will hear it 137 times (I think it's in their license)... In 6 months of listening to the consumate garbage-hit factory, only once has a DJ impressed me. It was a couple of months ago. He was a replacement DJ (whom I have since not heard again -- he was probably shot) and he was taking requests for the pick hit of the night. Anyway, he didn't seem to pleased with the selections that the local 12-17 year old musical experts were making (Twisted Sister, Helix --- my god, can you blame the poor fellow) so he made a few "smug" remarks concerning the intelligence (or lack of) of high school students. It was delightful, I loved it, every nano-second of it... loved it to death... i loved it so much that i'm forgetting to wacht ym speeling.... I hate, hatE, haTE, hATE, HATE them, all of them (here's a list): CHYM - Kitchener \ CKGM - Montreal \____________ DIE !!!!!!!!! CKOC - Hamilton / CFTO - Toronto / Also, Casey Kasum (or however you spell this stupid jerks screwed up name), Dick Clark (go away you old nerd), Terry David Mulligan (canuck jack-ass), and all the other radio-video purveyors of crap... -- DIE !!!!!!!!!!! Death to Prince(ss), George (faggot) Michaels, Air Supply, Madonna (like a bimbo), the Pointer Sisters (age????), Duran^2 (nonsense), Corey Heart (to think this sop is from my hometown), Lionel Ritchie (from the people who brought you the Vic20), Billy Joel (what the hell was that last piece of vinyl supposed to be), Fill Collins (SU SU SU sudio to you too), Kenny Rogers (music for +40 housewives), etc..... i could go on forever, well at least for another hour... Back to work.... oh his voice is grating on me..... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!
