That's not strictly true. The .44 Automag is a stainless steel semi- automatic pistol that fires a special round which essentially is a rimless version of the .44 magnum round. This round certainly generates much more pressure than a Colt .45 automatic round. The actions of the .44 Automag and the Colt .45 automatic are different.
