'Til summer 1982 all games were in English and untranslated. Most popular were AD&D, Traveller and Call of Cthuluh, but most others are available. Britain and London is not so far away, so many of us go there on our holidays to buy games. Runners-up to the above mentioned games are Runequest, MERP, En Garde and some of the super-hero games. In June 1982 was the first Swedish RPG ever published. It isn't totally 'home-grown', but use a system developed by Stephen Perrin of Chaosium. It's called "Drakar och Demoner", meaning "Dragons and Demons". The system is NOT like AD&D but more like Runequest without religions and their spellcasting abilities. 'Til that day there had been virtually no munchkins in our country (they were not old enough to be able to read english) but now they begin to show up. This is of course an overstatement, but they were fewer some years ago. We have (at least) one annual convention in Sweden, GOTHCON in Gothenburg, held at Easter time every year. I hope this was information enjoyable for everybody, not just for Rick. And please mail me flames, corrections and such. I'll gather it and post an errata sheet if necessary.
