VE's products range from low level li- braries (VDI, GKS) to data/graphics interfaces to publication quality business graphics to three dimensional ray tracing. All of VE's software is written in C and is portable across many CPUs. The applicant should have experience with computer graphics tools like GKS, VDI and/or CORE, and be a proficient programmer in portable C. Knowledge of VMS would be nice. The working environment at VE is excellent. The entire staff enjoys the rare ability to work in a unified manner. The fa- cilities are highly optimized for productivity. The development machine is a lightly loaded Pyramid 90x running 4.2bsd & SysV (this is a *VERY* fast UNIX machine). Engineers enjoy their OWN separate offices. Staff members are loaned a graphics terminal and 1200/2400 baud modem for home use. All in all a nice place to work.
