Carson > Distributed Systems Group > Boston University ACC If `postnews' asks if you want to rotate a joke when posting to net.jokes, why doesn't `readnews' ask if you want to *un-rotate* the saved joke if you are reading net.jokes? I posted the article as a challenge to would-be hackers to fix `readnews' so that it is symmetrical with `postnews'. Besides, where is this documented? ("Of course, you wiper of other people's bottoms, you can pipe it thru frobnitz into foo...") This is an annoying workaround for incomplete software, in my humble opinion. That's like saying "If you bend this board a certain way, then the computer won't crash..." Grrrrrrr.... -Neal B.
