Challenge:  Think up events for the Unix Olympics.
For starters...

Day 1 of the Unix Olympics features, at the stadium, the longjmp().

Day 2, at the pool, Asynchronous Swimming.  Two swimmers perform an
      artistic routine in the water, paying no attention to each other,
      the music or the clock.
