My arguments are as follows: 1. Few people buy newspapers *SOLELY* to read Dave's articles. 2. A small percentage of the population has access to the net. 3. By the time these articles get posted, they're a few days old. 4. Considering the above, it is most unlikely that people will stop buying newspapers just because they can read Dave Barry on USENET, etc. So the Miami Herald can continue to syndicate Dave's work and get rich doing it, and aren't going to bother the few thousand of us who read it on the net. Their expensive lawyers have much better things to do. P.S. As a Miamian trying to survive in small town Saskatchawan, I relish the taste of home provided by posting of Dave Barry articles on the net.
