Message-ID: <867@mnetor.UUCP> Date: Fri, 24-May-85 11:32:43 EDT Article-I.D.: mnetor.867 Posted: Fri May 24 11:32:43 1985 Date-Received: Fri, 24-May-85 13:30:08 EDT Organization: Computer X (CANADA) Ltd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada Lines: 23 Xref: utcs net.wanted.sources:918 net.lang.pascal:295 I seem to be getting a fair bit of interest in the Software Tools In Pascal software that I have ported to VM/CMS - six requests already. So, I will probably be posting it sometime soon. It'll be in 6 or so pieces. (~ 300k). However, someone answering my posting indicated that there may be a problem with copyright. Does anybody know for sure whether the Software Tools in Pascal sources (as shown in the book) are freely distributable? I'd rather not call Addison-Wesley to find out, because, due to previous experience with them, it is unlikely that I will find anybody who really knows either. If they are not freely distributable, I may be able to distribute in another way: if you can provide proof-of-ownership (somehow - eg: mailing me a signed copy of the receipt or maybe even clipping out the ISBN number or something - precise details if necessary later) of the book I should be able to mail it out and have intermediate sites forward it to other places to avoid too much duplication of transmission. Presumably ownership of the book essentially constitutes a source license. You really need to have the book anyhow to port the junk. -- Chris Lewis, UUCP: {allegra, linus, ihnp4}!utzoo!mnetor!clewis BELL: (416)-475-8980 ext. 321
