This combination has potential -- especially if a system with hard disk, at least 1/2 mb ram, os9 and C can be obtained for under $2000. Os9 is a multi-tasking, multi-user operating system. It is simular to unix in many ways (pipes, the shell is just a program, etc.) but is tailored to small systems. (And the commands have reasonable names.)
