I noticed the following problems: Disk Info does not have its buttons ("Show Files" and "Make Default" in the disk window, "Show Disks" in the file window) when called from an application. The buttons appear only when running Disk Info from the Finder (how pointless!) Without the buttons, Disk Info is still usable, but not as useful. Set File cannot change the author of a file. It can set the attribute bits, but any change to the author field is not actually made. Both these problems occurred using the new System and Finder on a RAM disk. Come to think of it, it was a new RAM disk program too. (Not the one that was posted here recently, a different one.) Perhaps that's the problem. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm or deny that these problems exist for them. If you've used these DAs with the new Finder/System, please MAIL me your results. If you can't mail to me, PLEASE DON'T POST. I'll repost the results if there's any interest. David D. Levine (...decvax!tektronix!orca!davidl) [UUCP] (orca!davidl.tektronix@csnet-relay.csnet) [ARPA]
