I've a friend who owns a DECMATE and an IBM/PC. The PC was purchased
recently and he would like to download much of the data he has on
the DECMATE to it.

How straightforward is this to accomplish? Since this is probably
going to be a one time thing for him he doesn't want to get into
anything very spendy. What hardware/software is needed?

Since I don't normally read this newsgroup, I'd appreciate responses
being sent to me rather than the net.
