The NEC allows for a disk drive to be configured in memory, but requires a knowledge of the parameters of the disk to be read. As I do not know these parameters, I am asking your assistance. The following is the list of parameters I need to know: sectors per track - block shift factor - block length mask - extent mask - maximum disk size - maximum directory size - allocation vector zero - allocation vector one - check vector size - system track offset - software translate factor - I may also need to know: first sector ID - last sector ID - density - gap length for format - fill byte - physical skew - sector size - gap length for read/write - I would appreciate any help you can give me. Please reply by mail as I am not a reader of this news group. Thanks in advance for your help. For every problem there is one Dave Beyerl solution which is simple, neat, ihuxk!db21 and wrong!
