I have written my own little set of programs to read the news.  It weeds
out unnecessary header information that I don't care for.  I guess now I
will have to make just one more addition to it.  It's not too difficult
to weed out the ^L (or just replace them with the text "^L").

Now who in the world maintains the sources for the various "standard"
news reading programs?  A control character weed out function should be
added.
