I am posting the following for a friend:

Arrrrrrrghhhhhhhh!!!!

DEC's ULTRIX-11 *doesn't* support BSD Mag-Tape IOCTL's.
They support BSD job control and a host of other BSD
 functions, so why not BSD mag tape?

So, anyway, does anyone have a BSD compatible tape driver
  that works with the TSV11/TS05 ULTRIX-11 combination??
  I'd be most grateful if I didn't have to write one myself.
