You can do it that way. The way I was thinking of, however, is quite strange. Let me be even more specific. Replace "a single swing of the bat" with "a single visit to the plate" (a walk or hit-by-pitch would count) Hint: This happened some time ago (I believe in the majors) and resulted in a rule change.
