Does anyone out there in the usenet world (especially NYC) know of
anyplace where I can rent a shell around Manhattan somewhere?  I
live on the upper west side.  This was something I used to enjoy doing
when I lived on the West Coast.  I've thought about buying one and
going rowing in the Hudson, but I think it's probably a little too
rough.  I also don't know if the authorities would be too pleased 
with me launching a shell from Riverside Park.  Any ideas would be
appreciated.  I am willing to travel to the Bronx or Queens to do
this and am interested in going rowing maybe twice a week.

Also, if anyone know where I can simply buy one of these little 
shells, it would be great.
