Also Minox C problem. The front element of my Nikon 50/1.8E seems to be loose -- there is about 1/2mm of play when I wiggle the front of the barrel with my fingers and the viewfinder image shifts discernably when I do this. Is this something I can fix reasonably easily, or should I bring it to the Nikon depot in San Francisco? Can they generally fix things like this on the spot? There are 7 months left on the Nikon USA Club warranty. Also I'm wondering if this is a common problem with a) Nikon Series E lenses b) cheap lenses in general, or c) all lenses? Hey, while I'm at it, my Minox C suddenly won't close. Suggestions are welcome.
