Thats as may be, but ... The fact of the matter, at least here in Texas, is that the Blue Laws are primarily for the protection of specific business interests. The Texas Legistlature is on the verge of repealing the law here in Texas, **Except** for car dealerships. The arguments for retaining it centered only peripherally on religion--the main complaints were from small business persons who claimed their overhead would go up (You figure it out :-)
