You can take fun classes at a local high school or college. Lots of adults take fun classes and it's a good way of meeting people. You can also try to teach those classes. I got involved in a volunteer program to teach high school mathematics and basic engineering and met lots of single people. I don't know if you can just walk into a racquetball club or tennis court and play a game with someone, but it's worth a try. Anybody else made friends doing this? I guess it is harder if you're shy, or you think you're not so good and everyone will beat you :-) Are there any more Welcome Wagons in the world? I thought they were supposed to introduce new people to their neighborhoods? -- It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes we wonder how I keep from goin' under.
