Did I hear it right ? Supposedly, This will put more left-handed power into the line-up (I guess the new 3rd base man is left handed). But isn't Philies' current 1st basemen (?? Corcorran) also left handed ? What about Greg Gross (he usually pinch hits - but also play 1st base pretty good) who also bats left. I can't figure out why Philies are doing this. Is it an act of desparation ? I used to follow Phillies very closely until a few years ago when they started to change the players so much that, now, I don't even know half the players.
