If you've never seen the "Herbie Redmond Show", you're missing something special. I guess De- troit is just too traditional; no golf cart for the infield or for the relief pitchers, no artificial turf, no "mascot", etc. But they did invest $2 million in a very nice electronic scoreboard back in 1979, and they do have lights (GASP!). This raises an interesting question: * Which stadium upholds the best traditions of major league baseball? I think almost everyone would agree Wrigley Field, with maybe Fenway or Yankee Stadium in second. * Also- IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO PREVENT THIS DAMN STRIKE FROM OCCURING? Like, good day, eh?
