Is there anyone out there with any information on the III Comp 80
typesetter, or displayercode?

In particular, is there an existing ditroff back end for it?  Or does
anyone have any opinions on the feasibility of such a beast?

Other information, such as reliability, costs, print quality,
availability of fonts, etc, will be most welcome.
