According to this week's TV Guide, Detectives Patsy Mayo & Harry Garabaldi
will not be on the "roll call" next season -- due to Guide's cutesy method
of information, I don't know if this means they are never heard from again
("Item 10: Detectives Mayo & Garabaldi got married and stole the police
pension fund last night.  They apparently have flown to Brazil.  We will
never mention their names again."), or if they serve out a few episodes and
then get transferred/fired/iced.

Also, the new character's (played by Dennis Franz, before as Sal Benideto)
main function will be "to make Captain Furillo's life miserable".  Oh, dear.

    "I'm going to have you wrapped in a U.S. flag and burned personally by the
     President, in high octane American gasoline!"
