John Nathan-Turner says that the idea was to make Peri have a
"wholly ridiculous" accent.  It shouldn't resemble any U.S.
dialect, nor any other country's.
I think he says that it has, or will be, slightly toned down,
i.e. more consistent, not saying "Dahkterr" and "Glahss" in
the same sentence...
