I don't buy Cynthia's alibi.  It would be very easy for her to have
driven to Willow Lake the next day and she could have changed the date
on the charge machine.  In very small stores/gas stations, they don't pay
attention to those dates and she could have changed the date while they
were filling her tank.  She may also have bribed the guys at the filling
station.
