I'm involved in trying to evaluate two data base systems Oracle and
Ingres, which will probably be running under VMS on a large VAX,
probably a 8600.  The data base is going to be HUGE, probably about
half a million entries.  I would appreciate any comments, performance
evaluations, flames, etc on the two.

Also if there is a product out there that is clearly superior to the
two performance-wise, please let me know
