I may be mistaken, but the article seemed to laud this despicable idea! Suggesting, "be nice to your secretary or she'll sell your secrets", the article called this a victory for the underdog. Is this an example of the "If they're not going to treat us like we have any integrety, we damn well won't have any!" school of thought?
