I think you must be a fool! No matter what your opinion of the womens' movement is/was how can you not be able to look around you and think that a man offering to walk or escort a friend home from some late nigt outing is less effective in preventing her assault than "doing the dishes"?? I understand what you are saying. But it doesn't make sense. Sorta like having a friend with a drinking problem, and rather than offering to drive them home from a party, you let them drive themselves home and start writing to your congressman about the evils of liquor! And, before your knee jerks, please be advised that I am not associating a persons drinking problem with rape. This is nothing more than a cute little analogy.
