Yes, but nonetheless, everyone (rightly or not) gets associated with the group
to which they're supposed to belong (in the eye of the associator).  Undue
blame for being associated with a group is just as bad as undue credit for
being associated with a group.  People SHOULD be treated as individuals, but,
let's face it, we're not, and getting benefits just for belonging to a group
occurs just as much as people being punished just for belonging to a group.
