At the DECUS Symposium I attended a session that talked about software
engineering at DEC. One of the presenters talked about LSE and their
approach to software engineering.

I was surprised to find that LSE is written largely in BLISS and uses TPU
as a sort of "editing engine".  There was a lot of passing things back and
forth between the TPU and LSE groups since LSE needed changes in TPU.
