Disconnect from RT --- The problem when you do a SET HOST is that you are using RTDriver, and NOT the true VMS terminal driver. You are basically SOL. However, there are rumored to be many enhancements to SET HOST under VMS 4.2, maybe something there will help. Of course, you can always physically disconnect your terminal (hang up modem, hit [BREAK] to return to a PCU if you are on one, etc...) which will disconnect you from the terminal driver on the original system.
