	I recently got a Lafayette LR-1500TA stereo rcvr (i.e. rescued
it from the trash).  It has two coencentric knobs marked volume and
balance, but they seem to work like left and right volume.  Does anybody
know if this is a typo on the faceplate or is it just plain broken?

	Also, does anybody have a service and/or owner's manual for
this?  I'm willing to pay xerox and postage if need be.
