Lines: 23 Well, gee, I unsubscribed from net.audio about a year ago amidst a swarm of 'CD vs LP' and 'ears vs lab instruments' flames. Now I'm back with a question, and gee, guys, haven't you found ANYTHING else to talk about since last summer? Gawd, people are still beating their brains out on those same topics. Well. The question: Anyone have any experiance with Sony's 'CD walkman'? I think it's cute, cheap, and it got good reviews for tracking and reproduction accuracy. "Better than some table models costing lots more" was I think the way one reviewer put it. What a deal! I can connect it up to my Sanyo 100 Watt amp in my van, carry it on my belt (I don't do that, near here someone was hit BY A TRAIN whilst plugged into one of those idiot boxes.) and use it in my home system as well. I do not intend to abandon good old fashion LP's either. But for $250, startup, I might be able to invest in both media. Comments? (By mail, please. I'll summerize if anyone else is interested.) -- __ Ron Christian (Watkins-Johnson Co. San Jose, Calif.) {pesnta, twg, ios, qubix, turtlevax, tymix, vecpyr, certes, isi}!wjvax!ron
