Lines: 84 I read Brian Ehrmantraut's reply to Charles Lambert. Sounds to me like Mr. Lambert has a problem. He may be a nice guy but, I believe he should do a little research on firearms laws. We have a "God's Plenty" of them to cover the legal ownership of firearms (illegal too for that matter). He stated that an automatic weapon was used. Does he realize just how hard it is to obtain an automatic weapon? I feel that the culprit in this shootout either stole the weapon or was, at one time, a person who met all the legal re- quiremants to purchase the weapon. It is a rather involved process to get the *Federal* liscence to own an automatic weapon. With all the laws on the books now, How does Mr. Lambert think anymore will help? We have laws that make it illegal for that clown to own a weapon already. He is nuts. Nuts and felons don't have the right to own firearms. It doesn't make any difference to a nut or crook if firearm ownership is illegal. So, what does Mr. Lambert propose to do with a law making all firearms ownership illegal? The only thing a law banning gun ownership would do is make a criminal out of me. All I've got to say to that is, you may outlaw my guns but you'll never get them. 'Cause, see criminals don't care about laws. That's why they call 'em "outlaws". If firearms are made an illegal item, I'm sure you know that the feds aren't going to buy mine from me. I sure as hell ain't gonna give them to anyone, got too much money tied up...So, I suppose then I'll be an outlaw. Then I won't care if the ownership of firearms is illegal. So, in my opinion, more laws won't change the situation at all. Just skip it and enforce the laws we already have. As far as Mr. Ehrmantraut's comparison to a driver with his nose in the bottle killing people.... Remember that most states have been cracking down pretty severely on fools who drive drunk. It is helping a little. But, I still see and hear of drunks driving around. So much for making things illegal. They tried once to outlaw booze entirely. Also, ona side note here, I have heard of a few times when people actually saved lives using a firearm. I have never heard of booze saving anyone from anything. Which should be junked legally, booze or guns? Another side note, since when did a gun or a car ever kill anyone? I have a gun that's been laying in a drawer for a pretty long time now, as if it hasn't the strength to get up and do something. Be realistic everyone, we don't have a booze problem or a gun problem, we have a people problem. The dog? Oh, its normal for him to look like that after he pisses on the electic fence.
