Yes, Satan used a similar temptation to try to trap Jesus. However, you're ignoring context. Jesus quoted scripture to refute Satan's usage of that temptation in that context. If scripture was used to refute it (scripture from God), then there must be cases when that kind of thinking is wrong, no? Also, "In God We Trust" is not exactly what Satan said to Jesus (" Throw yourself off and God will send angels to save you"). I trust in God all the time. I don't test God's presense, which is a sin (this is what Satan was trying to make Jesus do). We're not to test God - we're to believe and trust in Him. The latter is much more valuable to God than the former, which indicates doubt or non-belief. Bill Gates
