Look fascist, Mondale lost the election largely because he was naive enough to suggest that it will require personal sacrifice to reduce/eliminate the deficit. Reagan insists that by acting "patriotically" that is, spend, spend, spend and be nicer to poor, abused corporate America everyone can ride off in the sunset and our lives will have a nifty cinematic ending. The guy has used increased deficits to fuel all his rose-colored pseudo-statistics. This way, history will (Reagan thinks) portray him as a great leader, while he blithely hands future generations our credit card receipts. He is a master at manipulating public opinion (not mine, thank God) and diverting attention from his own BULLSHIT policies, pinning blame on everyone who opposes him. How can you raise defense expenditures, raise social security (he is already reneging on this one), and then attempt to lower the deficit by slashing social programs? Ronald, it won't work. The only way to reduce the deficit (which is now about $8,000 per American) is to undergo personal sacrifice and REDUCE BLOATED DEFENSE SPENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one more time class... REDUCE BLOATED DEFENSE SPENDING!!!!!!!! The man is full of shit, as history will surely attest to. > > Remember, Reagan is not the only person in the budget process. However, these opinions will, in all certainty, bear scant resemblance to the opinions of SCI Systems, Inc., Mr. Jones' employer. ||||| || || [ O-O ] Todd Jones \ ^ / {decvax,akgua}!mcnc!rti-sel!scirtp!todd | _ | |___| FLAME ME IF YOU DARE!
