Lines: 18 Net.sources is not the place to discuss this topic! The reasons I've seen so far leave out a major one, and the main reason I won't give people my sources: most sources (at least, mine, and AT&T's, to answer the person who asked) contain many "software tools" style routines which could easily be extracted and used by someone else, resulting in new programs that are largely the work of the original author, but for which the author gets no credit in any form. A good example being asynchronous interrupt drivers for the IBM PC, which are contained in many of my programs, and which I won't give the source of to anyone (since they took over a month to get fully debugged). -- Full-Name: J.
